The chase continued in front of El Rompido and, apparently, concluded in a marshland area situated between the Río Piedras yacht club and the coastal promenade of the aforementioned location.

It has also not been confirmed whether the boat's crew members were apprehended or if the action is linked to any anti-drug trafficking operation, although some witnesses suggested this possibility due to the extensive deployment observed.
