The academic institution has approved a series of updates to the PAU 2026 regulations, aiming to ensure equal opportunities in light of the increasing prevalence of artificial intelligence. As part of these measures, the use of any digital device, as well as smartwatches and smart glasses, is strictly prohibited during the exams.
To enforce these restrictions, the UGR has installed frequency detectors at each of its venues. Furthermore, mobile phones must be turned off before the tests begin, and backpacks and bags will be placed at the front of each classroom.
Another implemented measure is the prohibition for students to take their exams with them upon completion. This rule, effective 30 minutes after the exam starts, aims to prevent the leakage of questions while tests are still in progress.
Additionally, the correction system has been modified to prevent examiners from grading their own students' papers, promoting a fairer university admission process. The first session of the PAU will take place on June 2, 3, and 4, while the second session is scheduled for June 30 and July 1 and 2.
