Investments in justice made by the Juanma Moreno Government in Granada and its province have been positively assessed. It has been emphasized that the City of Justice in the capital is moving forward with a «firm commitment» and is much closer to becoming a reality.
Works on the Cubo building, acquired by the Junta de Andalucía for over 21 million euros, are expected to begin in late 2026 or early 2027. This building will be complemented by a new construction on a plot ceded by the Granada City Council, with the aim of completing the judicial complex.
“"With political will, anything is possible, and it addresses a long-standing demand for the unification of the City of Justice, which was also requested by the sector. It was something urgent for Granada."
Although specific deadlines for the definitive launch of the City of Justice have not been provided, it has been indicated that the next step is the basic project, after which the works will be tendered. Definitive deadlines will be announced once more project details are available.
At the provincial level, the new judicial headquarters in Órgiva is «about to be completed» after 15 years of promises, thanks to an investment of over 5.6 million euros by the Junta, which will quadruple the available space. Additionally, in Almuñécar, 873,000 euros have been invested to unify judicial bodies.
