The player, currently with Albacete Balompié, sustained the injury during the first half of a recent match, ironically, against his former club, Granada CF. He had to leave the field visibly distressed, foreshadowing the severity of the incident.
Medical tests conducted in recent hours by the Manchego club's services have confirmed the extent of the injury. The surgical intervention is scheduled for this Wednesday at noon in Granada, under the supervision of a specialist.

The player is remembered for his career at Granada CF, where he was a key figure from Tercera División (Third Division) to reaching Primera División (First Division) and competing in European competitions. He left the rojiblanco club two seasons ago, after his contract expired without a renewal offer, heading to Eibar.
During his seven seasons with Granada CF's first team, he scored 30 goals, in addition to ten more with the reserve team. His farewell from the club occurred in a match against Celta de Vigo at Los Cármenes, where he missed a penalty in what was also Granada's last Primera División home game.
