The official presentation of the candidacy took place at the symbolic Puerta de Elvira, an historically significant entrance to the city of Granada. The list, characterized by its continuity, includes representatives from various parts of the province, reflecting the party's broad regional presence.
The PP in Granada is striving to replicate its success from the previous regional elections, where it achieved an absolute majority. Initial polls, with over five weeks remaining until election day, suggest this outcome is possible, though voter intentions may shift during the pre-campaign and campaign periods.
“"This is not just a campaign but a project to work for the people of Granada for the next four years."
Francis Rodríguez, the provincial president of the party, emphasized that the team is prepared to “continue transforming Granada and Andalusia and to guarantee stability, growth, and opportunities.” Rocío Díaz, currently the regional Minister of Public Works for the Junta de Andalucía, highlighted the list's alignment with the regional government's political agenda.
“"We will continue to advance and improve people's lives."
Díaz also underscored the experience and deep provincial knowledge of her team members, asserting that “politics only makes sense if it is useful.” The event was attended by prominent figures such as the Mayor of Granada, Marifrán Carazo, and the Secretary General of the PP of Granada and local campaign manager, Jorge Saavedra.
The full list presented by the Popular Party of Granada includes Rocío Díaz Jiménez, Manuel Francisco García Delgado, Celia Santiago Buendía, Pablo García Pérez, Rosa María Fuentes Pérez, Mariano García Castillo, Trinidad Herrera Lorente, José Javier Martín Cañizares, Teresa Illescas Estévez, Rafa Caballero Jiménez, Laura Barrilado Luzón, José Miguel Peña Lozano, and Erica Rodríguez Morón.
