The Popular Party of Andalusia has commenced its electoral pre-campaign in Granada, led by President Juanma Moreno, underscoring the province's role as a model for the Andalusia they aim to consolidate over the next four years.

The event, held at the Barceló Congress Hotel in Granada, brought together all 109 members of the eight Andalusian provincial candidacies, including the 13 counselors of the Andalusian Government. Moreno justified the choice of Granada as the starting point due to its representation of the Andalusia the party seeks to continue building, a territory that, in his words, “perfectly symbolizes the advance towards the future of the Andalusian community.”
During his speech, the candidate for re-election highlighted Granada's remarkable growth, not only within Andalusia but also in Spain. He mentioned the creation of 4,700 new companies and 6,800 self-employed individuals, a 56% increase in exports, and 5 million visitors, attributing these achievements to promotional and management efforts.

"But beyond the figures, Granada expresses the confidence of a land that can aspire to more, to want more, and to do so on a solid foundation."

Juanma Moreno · President of the Junta de Andalucía
Moreno also listed strategic projects for the province, such as the southern extension of the Metro, the creation of the Andalusian Artificial Intelligence Center, the promotion of science with IFMIF-Dones, and the acquisition of the Cubo building for the City of Justice. He emphasized the Junta's commitment to Granada's bid for European Capital of Culture in 2031, assuring that they will “give their all” to achieve it.
Earlier, representatives of the PP of Granada spoke. Francisco Rodríguez, president of the Granadan popular party, described the event as “the start of the countdown to continue transforming Andalusia” and stressed the need for Juanma Moreno's leadership. For her part, Rocío Díaz, head of the list for Granada, highlighted the importance of governing with common sense and ambition, and praised Moreno's management, which has allowed Granada to “leave resignation behind and look to the future.”

"Granada symbolizes what is happening in Andalusia. A land that has left resignation behind and looks to the future. Granada is the example of this progress, and that has only been possible thanks to you, president, and your government."

The mayor of Granada, Marifrán Carazo, also spoke, calling for unity and joint work until May 17 to “make Andalusia progress.” She underscored the commitment and effort of the Andalusian Government, highlighting that moderation, understanding, and dialogue are key to the advancement of cities.
