Located in Campo Verde square in Granada, the Picual establishment has returned to activity in what its owners, Alejandro Aguado and Serafín Morales, describe as a resurrection. The fire, which consumed the premises in February, left ashes that have served as a foundation for a rapid reconstruction.
The first phase of this new stage already began during Holy Week, a period of high tourist influx for Granada's hospitality sector. Now, the restaurant celebrates its official 're-inauguration' with a party scheduled for tomorrow at 8:30 PM.
Since its original opening in September 2025, Picual has positioned itself as a gastronomic benchmark in the city, highlighting the use of extra virgin olive oil. This second life maintains the initial philosophy of blending tradition and creativity, always with the best product as the protagonist.
This return to life came, its owners told Granada Hoy, thanks to the leadership of Serafín Morales, who coordinated the initial work, as well as the efforts of Juan, their maître d', and the support from the rest of the team, family, clients, and suppliers.
Despite the emotional impact of the fire, the owners decided to continue and return stronger. The swift recovery was possible thanks to the leadership of Serafín Morales, who coordinated the initial work, and the essential support from Juan, the restaurant's maître d', as well as the rest of the team, family, clients, and suppliers.
