Granada Metro workers have announced new partial strikes that will affect train circulation during mornings, afternoons, and evenings in July. The metropolitan service has informed that different train frequencies will be applied during affected hours, in compliance with the minimum services approved by the Junta.
The strikes will begin at 7:00 AM. Until 9:30 AM, trains will run every 16 minutes. Afterwards, an 8-minute frequency will be restored. In the afternoon, the frequency will be reduced to 26 minutes. These variations will be maintained throughout the month of mobilizations.
The Junta has set minimum services at 50% of the usual resources for the first fortnight of July, excluding weekends, which are not expected to have disruptions.
The company committee, formed by representatives from CCOO, UGT, and CSIF, aims to demand dignified working conditions comparable to those of other Andalusian metros, as well as improvements to ensure passenger safety and service quality.
Union representatives state that the company has offered a 23.5% salary increase, but caution that this increment will be spread over four years, with the majority planned for 2029.
