The National Police in Baza have arrested a 54-year-old man, who has a history of more than 70 previous arrests, for allegedly breaking the windows of three vehicles and stealing numerous items from inside.

The robberies, which occurred in the urban area of Baza during the night, involved smashing windows to gain access to the vehicle interiors. Among the stolen items were 150 hunting cartridges, a monkey wrench, two pairs of glasses, a tape measure, wireless headphones, a tubular scarf, a set of car keys, and a mobile phone charger.
The first incident was reported in mid-February, when the alleged perpetrator broke the rear right window of a parked car. The owner reported the disappearance of a green bag containing the hunting cartridges and the monkey wrench. Subsequently, another vehicle had its front right window broken, from which glasses, a tape measure, and headphones were stolen.
The third and final robbery, also on a street in the Bastetan locality, began with the smashing of the rear right door window of a third car. On this last occasion, prescription glasses, valued at 130 euros, and a mobile phone charger with a car lighter adapter were stolen. The police investigation led to the identification and arrest of the suspect, who has since been brought before judicial authorities.

The detainee has already been placed at the disposal of the judicial authority.

The 54-year-old individual has an extensive criminal record, primarily linked to property crimes. In fact, he was at liberty after serving a sentence for similar offenses before being arrested for these new incidents.
