Agents of the National Police have intercepted a truck on the A-92 highway, passing through the province of Granada, which was carrying approximately 100 kilos of marijuana buds. The drug was found hidden among a legal load of chemical products.
The vehicle, a trailer with foreign license plates, raised the agents' suspicions due to irregular maneuvers and an unusual route. The driver, a 46-year-old man of Croatian nationality, was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health.
The inspection of the trailer revealed that, behind the declared load of chemical products destined for Croatia, there were 15 cardboard boxes. Inside, agents found numerous vacuum-sealed bags containing the narcotic substance.
The operation highlights the importance of communication routes like the A-92 as transport corridors. The investigation remains open to determine the origin of the drug and any potential involvement of other individuals.
