The most serious incident occurred on Gran Capitán Street, where a falling branch injured a healthcare worker. The woman was transported to a hospital in Granada city for medical attention, as reported by callers to the emergency services.
The Emergency Coordination Center (Cecem 112) received almost twenty alerts starting around 6:35 PM this Friday, with most concentrated in Granada city and the metropolitan town of Armilla. Other affected areas in the capital included Belchite, Berna, Alhóndiga, Escoriaza, Sos del Rey Católico streets, Avenida de la Constitución, and Plaza de la Trinidad. In Armilla, incidents were reported on Gaspar Melchor de Jovellanos and San Cayetano streets.
Concurrently, the Patronato de la Alhambra y el Generalife activated its wind protocol at level 1 and restricted access to several areas due to gusts exceeding 50 kilometers per hour. For safety reasons, pedestrian access was limited to Cuesta del Rey Chico, Paseos de la Alameda, and Bosque de Gomérez, as well as the Jardín de los Adarves and the Jardines Altos del Generalife.
