The selection of electoral board members will take place during an Extraordinary Plenary Session scheduled for this Monday, April 20. This process is crucial to ensure the proper conduct of the elections for the Parliament of Andalusia.
In accordance with Organic Law 5/1985 of the General Electoral Regime (LOREG), the draw will designate the president and two members for each of the 285 polling stations in Granada. Additionally, up to 14 substitutes will be selected for each position, allowing for quick replacements should designated individuals present valid excuses.
The IDA_Celec portal, managed by the National Institute of Statistics (INE), will be used for the draw, employing a random selection formula among registered voters in each section. Requirements for selection include literacy and being under 70 years of age. Those over 65 may decline within seven days. The polling station president must hold a Bachiller (high school diploma), a second-degree Vocational Training qualification, or, failing that, a Graduado Escolar (primary education certificate) or equivalent.
Following the draw, documentation for the 12,600 selected voters will be printed. A team of 14 notifiers will then officially communicate the appointments to each individual, ensuring that the election day on May 17 proceeds smoothly and in strict adherence to the LOREG.
