The city of Granada is solidifying its status as a cultural hub with a diverse agenda for the coming days. From June 11 to July 12, the International Festival of Music and Dance will fill iconic spaces like the Alhambra and the Generalife with art, offering concerts, dance, and flamenco featuring national and international artists.
This weekend, from June 19 to 20, the Isabel la Católica Theatre will host the eleventh edition of FESTIG, Granada's Improvisation Festival. The event will bring together companies such as La Tetera and Al Tran Tran, presenting new shows, musical comedy improvisation, and creative performances.
Urban music will fill the Plaza de Toros on June 20 with the performance of Dani Fernández, who will present his album 'La Jauría'. On the same day, the Cortijo del Conde will come alive with the Granada Latina Festival, a benchmark for urban music featuring artists like Morad, JC Reyes, and Rvfv, among others.
The programming extends throughout the week with various offerings. Thursday, June 18, includes concerts at Lemon Rock, the Granada Bar Association, and the Ronda Civic Center, as well as dance performances like 'Aria' at the Explanade of the Congress Palace. On Friday, June 19, in addition to FESTIG, there will be a theater event benefiting the Granada Food Bank Foundation at the CajaGranada Theatre and performances at venues like La Gavach and Planta Baja.
Saturday, June 20, the schedule intensifies with Dani Fernández's concert and the continuation of FESTIG, alongside performances at Lemon Rock, La Marida, and the PTS Paraninfo. Music will also reach Torrenueva Costa with the Orquesta Panorama and the Palace of Charles V with the Orchestra of the Valencian Community.
On Sunday, June 21, the Improvisation Festival concludes its cycle, while the Festival of Music and Dance presents the Orchestra of the Valencian Community at the Palace of Charles V. The week continues with more theater and music until June 24, with events in locations such as Planta Baja, Plaza del Boquerón, and the Corral del Carbón.
