Granada Provincial Motorsport Championship to Tour Nine Municipalities

The V Provincial Motorsport Championship of Granada will feature ten events across nine municipalities, solidifying its position as a key motor sport event in the province and fostering local talent.

The fifth edition of the Granada Provincial Motorsport Championship is set to visit nine municipalities in the province, featuring a total of ten sporting events. This competition has become one of the most significant dates for motor sport enthusiasts in the region, bringing together local drivers and co-drivers in various disciplines.
The championship's presentation was attended by the deputy for Sports and Sports Facilities, along with the president of the Andalusian Motorsport Federation and representatives from the host city councils. During the event, the deputy emphasized that this competition represents an "opportunity to consolidate motorsport as a reference sports discipline in the province, while bringing this sport closer to the public and supporting local talent".

For his part, the president of the Andalusian Motorsport Federation, indicated that the trophy "is positioning itself better within regional motorsport, with a Spanish championship event and another of very high level".
The calendar of events already began on March 28 in Freila with the III Timed Section. Competitions will continue this Saturday with the IV Dólar Slalom, on May 31 in Guadix, and on June 20 in Moclín with the town's I Asphalt Rally. In July, the championship will move to Albuñol on the 4th for the XIII La Rábita Timed Race, and on the 11th to Lanjarón for the XIII Cerro de los Cañones Hill Climb.
After the summer, on September 13, the V Timed Race will be held again in Moclín, while on the 26th of the same month, it will be the V Balcón de Canales de Pinos Genil Timed Race. On October 4, the XII Dirt Rally will take place in the capital, Granada, and the championship will conclude on October 17 with the II Jérez del Marquesado Slalom. Participants must hold a license issued by the Andalusian Motorsport Federation and be drivers or co-drivers born or residing in the province, in addition to competing in at least three events of different modalities to be eligible for the final prizes.
