Granada has established itself as a benchmark destination for MICE tourism (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) with the hosting of MIS Andalucía 2026, underscoring its potential for professional events.

The province of Granada has been the stage for MIS Andalucía 2026, the primary professional event for the MICE sector in the autonomous community. This gathering reaffirms the region's competitiveness and appeal for organizing congresses, meetings, incentive trips, and corporate events.
The event's realization was made possible through the collaboration of Eventoplus, Turismo Andaluz, the City Council of Granada, the Granada Convention Bureau, and the Provincial Tourism Board of the Diputación. These entities are working together to position the province as a central hub for specialized operators, buyers, and suppliers in meetings tourism at both Andalusian and national levels.
Granada offers a unique combination of top-tier cultural and natural heritage, alongside robust congress infrastructure and a highly professionalized network of tourism companies. The province complements its professional offerings with unique experiences such as incentive activities in Sierra Nevada, wine tourism in the Alpujarra, stays in cave houses within the Geopark of Granada, or proposals along the Costa Tropical.
The province boasts a modern and high-quality hotel base, complemented by unique event spaces and a growing commitment to sustainability, innovation, and personalized experiences.

"Meetings tourism constitutes one of the segments with the greatest capacity to add value to our destination. It is a type of tourism that contributes to de-seasonality, generates high average spending, and has a positive impact on numerous sectors of the local economy."

Marta Nievas · Provincial Deputy for Tourism and Heritage
The Provincial Deputy for Tourism and Heritage, Marta Nievas, accompanied by the delegate for Tourism, Culture, and Sport of the Junta de Andalucía in Granada, David Rodríguez, highlighted the strategic importance of the MICE segment for Granada's economy, emphasizing its capacity to generate economic activity, employment, knowledge, and international projection. She noted that each event directly benefits hotels, restaurants, transport companies, and shops.

"Companies and organizations demand destinations capable of offering memorable experiences, authenticity, professionalism, sustainability, and a differential proposal that complements professional activity."

"Today, Andalusia once again demonstrates its strength as one of the major destinations for meetings, congresses, and incentive tourism in Spain. Gatherings like MIS Andalucía are fundamental because they allow us to connect directly with those who make key decisions about where to hold congresses, events, and incentive trips."

David Rodríguez · Delegate for Tourism, Culture, and Sport of the Junta de Andalucía in Granada

"MICE tourism not only generates employment and wealth but also contributes decisively to de-seasonality, promoting a more balanced, sustainable, and higher value-added tourism model."

David Rodríguez emphasized the support from the Regional Ministry of Tourism and Sport of the Junta de Andalucía for such initiatives, highlighting the crucial role of public-private collaboration in strengthening national and international positioning.

"Our city has consolidated itself as a competitive destination thanks to the high quality and diversity of specialized services oriented towards MICE tourism, capable of offering top-tier professional and personal experiences. The celebration of MIS Andalucía allows us to showcase this potential to key sector players and continue advancing in attracting major national and international events."

Elisa Campoy · Councilor for Tourism, Commerce, Consumption, and Health of the Granada City Council
The Councilor for Tourism, Commerce, Consumption, and Health of the Granada City Council, Elisa Campoy, also present at the inauguration, detailed Granada's capacity to compete with major European destinations, thanks to the quality and diversity of its MICE services.
As part of MIS Andalucía, a familiarization trip has been organized for participants to showcase the attractions of the Costa Tropical. This initiative, in collaboration with the Mancomunidad de Municipios de la Costa Tropical and the municipalities of Almuñécar, Salobreña, and Motril, aims to expand future marketing opportunities for Granada's coastline.

"Granada brings together all the ingredients to become an unforgettable experience for those who visit us for professional reasons. This ability to combine work, culture, nature, gastronomy, and emotions is undoubtedly one of our main values as a destination."
