The Granada Provincial Council and City Council are promoting the IV Wine Fair at Paseo del Salón, an event from April 17 to 19 that will gather ten provincial wineries to highlight the quality of their wines and local gastronomy.
The IV Granada Wine Fair stands as an essential meeting point for wine and gastronomy enthusiasts, consolidating its position as a key showcase for the province's wine sector. The event, to be held at the emblematic Paseo del Salón, is supported by the Granada Provincial Council, through its brand Sabor Granada, and the Granada City Council.
The official presentation took place this Monday, with the participation of prominent figures such as Antonio Díaz, provincial deputy for European Funds, Development, Industry and Employment; Vito Epíscopo, councilor for Human Resources, Organization, Smart City, Digitalization and Innovation of the Granada City Council; Juan José Castillo, president of the Regulatory Council of the Designation of Origin (CRDOP) Granada; and Melesio Peña, CEO of Octopus. All emphasized the importance of this initiative for the local economy and the promotion of agri-food products.

"Events like the Wine Fair allow us to showcase the excellence of our wines and strengthen the connection between producers and consumers, consolidating Sabor Granada as a benchmark in promoting the province's gastronomic identity."
The fairgrounds, covering more than 4,000 square meters, will offer a comprehensive experience that combines the best wines with Protected Designation of Origin (DOP), a carefully curated gastronomic offer, and a varied program of live music. Among the ten participating Granada wineries are Señorío de Nevada, Anchurón, Vertijana, Fontedei, Domingo y Quiles, Al Zagal, Piedras Blancas, Haza del Lino, Muñana, and Cuatro Vientos.
The event is organized by the Regulatory Council of the Designation of Origin Vinos de Granada and the company Octopus, with institutional support and the main sponsorship of Caja Rural Granada. It is expected to surpass the attendance figures of the previous edition, which in 2025 registered over 12,000 visitors. The province of Granada currently has about 50 wineries and approximately 5,500 hectares of vineyards, producing between 30 and 40 million kilograms of grapes annually.
