The red-and-white team, managed by Pacheta, saw its undefeated pre-season streak end with a single goal scored by Sadik just before halftime, following a set-piece that the Granada defense failed to clear effectively.
During the match, Pacheta gave playing time to several young academy players and two new signings: goalkeeper Raúl Lizoain, who played the first half, and right-back Sergio López, who made his debut for a few minutes, replacing Pau Casadesús due to discomfort.
Despite Granada CF's intensity and the numerous chances created, showing superiority in many phases of the game, Ceuta, coached by José Juan Romero, proved more solid and effective to secure the win.
In the second half, Granada attempted to equalize without success. The clearest opportunity came from a shot by Jorge Pascual that hit the crossbar after a good assist from Rodelas, who has shown notable improvement this pre-season.
This loss marks Granada CF's first setback in their summer preparations, having previously secured victories against teams such as Real Betis, UD Almería, and Neom, as well as a draw against Juventud Torremolinos.
The team's next friendly match will be on Wednesday against Cádiz CF, also at Montecastillo, as part of their preparation for the season opener against Real Oviedo on August 15th.
