The sound of vinyl once again takes center stage in Granada with the commemoration of Record Store Day, an international event that highlights the importance of independent record stores. Over 300 exclusive releases are unveiled worldwide on this annual occasion, held every third Saturday of April, bringing together artists, labels, and retailers around physical music culture.
In Spain, nearly 80 establishments participate in this initiative. In Granada, activities are concentrated at Gran Vía Discos, Discos Marcapasos, and Bora-Bora, where, in addition to special editions, live performances will be offered throughout the day.
The ambassador for this edition is the renowned artist Nacho Vegas, while the local scene will also play a prominent role with groups such as Disciplinantes, who will present their work MCM.
Participating stores have organized a varied program for the day. At Discos Marcapasos, live performances will begin at 1:30 PM with Sarria, followed by José Bonaparte at 2:30 PM, The Fixed Trio at 5:00 PM, and Disciplinantes at 7:00 PM.
Meanwhile, Bora-Bora will offer a non-stop program including Teté (Dark Libra) at 12:00 PM, Nani Mutante at 12:30 PM, Lepanto at 1:30 PM, Von Bier DJ at 4:30 PM, Amparo Sánchez at 5:30 PM, McEnroe at 6:00 PM, Dani P. DJ and Gallopedro at 6:30 PM, and Alan McGee at 8:00 PM. Additionally, there will be a showcase from noon with Tortellini DJ at 12:30 PM, Niños Luchando at 6:00 PM, Missis Taylor at 6:30 PM, and Señora! at 7:30 PM.
