Granada's music scene is gearing up for a night of recognition at the Music Awards, where several of its most prominent artists are competing for the coveted accolades. The gala, set to take place in Madrid, will bring together the best of national music, with a notable representation from Granada.
Among the nominees, Lagartija Nick, the band led by Antonio Arias, is featured in the Best Alternative Music Album category for their work Eternamente en vivo. In this same section, they will compete against artists such as Alamedadosoulna, Guitarricadelafuente, and La M.O.D.A..
Meanwhile, La Plazuela has secured a double nomination. The duo is a candidate for Production of the Year for their album Lugar Nº0 (D.L.Y), a category that also includes Rosalía. Additionally, the song Mala de verdad, from the same album, is vying for the Best Urban Fusion/Performance award, competing with Lola Índigo's remix of La reina.
La Plazuela, which is the best-positioned Granadan group for this edition, already won these awards in the last edition, taking home the prize for Best Alternative Music Album for their EP La Caleta, with David de Jacoba, and Best Alternative Song for Rumba de los bajos.
Artist Saiko also joins the list of nominees with his track Lokenecesitas, in collaboration with Omar Kourtz, competing in the Best Urban Song category. His rivals include Quevedo and the duo Lia Kali and Eladio Carrión.
Finally, Lori Meyers has been nominated in the Best Electronic Music Song category for Hacerte volar, in the version produced by INNMIR. Violeta from Motril also appears in this category with III. Ojalá! (Bronquio remix), completing the significant Granadan presence at these important awards.
