This figure represents a 65.39% increase compared to 2018 and aims to enhance specialization in key sectors such as healthcare, industry, transport, security, and digitalization. The new courses are spread across different regions to promote balanced territorial development.
The Granada Metropolitan Area will host several new offerings, including cycles in Welding and Boilermaking, Health Emergencies, Early Childhood Education, and Health Documentation and Administration in virtual format, along with specialization courses in Artificial Intelligence in the capital. Santa Fe adds Aesthetics and Beauty training.
In Baza, the IES Pedro Jiménez Montoya will introduce higher-level degrees in Automotive and Finance and Administration. Guadix will offer the higher-level degree in Emergency Coordination and Civil Protection. The Costa Tropical adds mid-level degrees in Hairdressing and Cosmetic Arts in Motril, and in Almuñécar, Guidance in Natural Environment and Leisure will be available. Montefrío, in the Western Granada region, will provide the higher-level degree in Forest Management and the Natural Environment.
The delegate of the Junta de Andalucía Government in Granada, Antonio Granados, highlighted that Vocational Training has become a key pathway to employment for young people, with an offer tailored to labor market needs that helps "retain young talent in our province." He emphasized the importance of new training programs in Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, as well as the expansion in traditional sectors.
Granados also pointed out the unprecedented growth of FP in Andalusia, with nearly 200,000 new places across the autonomous community and an increase of over 64% since 2018, demonstrating the Andalusian government's commitment. The online modality was also highlighted, offering over 69,800 online FP places, providing flexibility and accessibility.
The territorial delegate, María José Martín, stressed that FP in Granada is not only growing in the number of places but also in quality, specialization, and employment opportunities, becoming "more innovative, more flexible, and more connected to the future."
The admission process for applications will be open from June 15th to 30th, conducted entirely online through the Virtual Secretariat. Subsequently, provisional lists will be published, followed by objection phases and two award rounds in July, with waiting lists maintained until November.
