The awards are divided into three annual categories. The 'Award for contribution, promotion, and national and international dissemination of bullfighting culture' has been granted to Enrique Romero and Francisco Ruiz Miguel. The Peña Taurina Joselito 'El Gallo' received the 'Award for the institution, collective, or associative movement responsible for promoting bullfighting culture in the province of Granada'. Finally, the 'Award for professional career in the bullfighting field in the province of Granada' was presented to the chief surgeon of Granada's bullring, Pablo Torné Poyatos.
Granados underscored bullfighting's deep roots in Andalucía, emphasizing its cultural, economic, social, and ecological impact. He highlighted that the bullfighting sector generates wealth and employment, encompassing not only bullfights but also a wide array of popular traditions that define bullfighting as a key element of collective identity.

"The cultural character of bullfighting is indisputable and deserves to be preserved as a treasure unique to Andalucía and Spain as a whole."
