The investment is being implemented through 71 actions, including new constructions, expansions, and renovations, benefiting 25,140 students. According to information provided by the Andalusian Executive, 20 projects have already been completed, 14 are currently under construction, and the rest are in the processing phase, with completion expected by the end of the year.
Among the finished interventions are the expansions of E.I. La Alcazaba in Guadix and Los Almendros in Motril. Currently, a gymnasium is being built at CEIP San Juan de Dios in the provincial capital.
Renovation, improvement, and modernization works have also addressed damage caused by storms earlier in the year, as well as accessibility initiatives to remove architectural barriers and adapt spaces. A total of 68 renovation projects in the province are expected to be completed this year.
These actions are part of the educational infrastructure plans of the Ministry of Education, managed by the Andalusian Public Agency for Education (APAE).
