The arrests took place in the early evening hours during a traffic control in the coastal town. Officers stopped a large van and, upon interacting with its occupants, noticed a strong smell of marijuana emanating from the vehicle.
After asking the three men to step out for a more detailed inspection, police found a plastic bag in the back seat containing eleven hashish acorns and marijuana ready for sale. A precision scale was also found hidden in a tomato box.
In a backpack located on the passenger seat, officers discovered six jars with a green substance and another glass jar with a transparent liquid that gave off a strong odor, appearing to be ecstasy. Additionally, a metal jar containing what appeared to be marijuana seeds was found.
During the search of their belongings, fragmented money exceeding 500 euros was found on two of the detainees, suggesting a possible connection to drug sales. One of them also had half a hashish acorn inside his boot. All substances found during the search were subjected to tests that confirmed their illicit nature.
The three individuals, two of whom had prior records, have been placed at the disposal of the judiciary. Furthermore, it was confirmed that the van they were traveling in lacked valid insurance.
