The children of Castellar de la Frontera now have a new leisure space in the heart of the municipality. The City Council has completed the transformation of the playground in Plaza Andalucía, giving it a more modern, safe, and family-friendly design.
Mayor Adrián Vaca highlighted that this initiative represents "an important improvement for one of the most used community spaces by residents," offering "a playground designed for children, but also for families to gather".
The works, which involved an investment of 140,000 euros, were financed through the March Plan 2024 of the Provincial Council of Cádiz. The project included a complete overhaul of the existing facilities.
The new playground features inclusive and certified play equipment, a large castle-themed play structure, new safety surfacing, as well as improvements to shaded areas and rest spaces for accompanying adults.
The mayor stated that the intervention aligns with the objective of continuing to improve the municipality's public spaces and equipping them to meet the current needs of its youngest residents. "We want Plaza Andalucía to be a meeting point for everyone, a place where our children can play safely and where families can enjoy time together," Vaca added.
