The promising bullfighter, only 18 years old, has been selected from among 136 aspirants to participate in the IX Bolsín Botijo de Filigrana in Alba de Tormes, Salamanca, this Saturday, May 2. This competition, one of the most prominent for bullfighters without picadors in Spain, represents a great opportunity for the young man from Jaén.
“"These new commitments carry a lot of responsibility for me and represent great opportunities to learn, progress, and show that I increasingly want to be a bullfighter."
Subsequently, on Friday, May 15, the bullfighter will perform at the bullring in Villanueva del Arzobispo, in a practical class organized by his school. He will share the bill with other colleagues and fight calves from the Jaén ranch El Añadio, from Vilches. Admission will be free by invitation, with a charity raffle benefiting local brotherhoods.
The third and final event in May will take place on Friday, May 22, in Santisteban del Puerto, as part of the Pascuamayo Fair. On this occasion, he will fight young bulls from the Jaén iron of Martín Carrasco, from Navas de San Juan, in an event that also includes a bullfight and other novilladas.
“"I return to two relevant bullrings in my homeland where I have already achieved several triumphs, and I love their renowned fans, in addition to going to another of the most bullfighting lands in the country, such as Salamanca, where in Ciudad Rodrigo I already reached the final in 2024 of the oldest competition in Spain. I am very grateful to the organizers for counting on me."
