The extreme heat episode will particularly affect the Andévalo and Condado regions, where thermometers could hit 41 degrees. In the Litoral and Aracena mountain areas, highs are expected to reach around 40 degrees during the peak hours of the day, between 1:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
The weather situation will be exacerbated by minimum temperatures that will not drop below 23 degrees, hindering nighttime rest. Furthermore, Aemet has warned of a very high ultraviolet index, reaching levels of nine out of eleven, posing a significant health risk from prolonged sun exposure.
For the start of the week, the orange alert level will remain in place on Monday for the Andévalo and Condado areas. Meanwhile, in the Aracena and Litoral zones, the warning will be downgraded to yellow, with forecast highs of 38 and 36 degrees respectively.
A slight thermal relief is expected starting Wednesday, when temperatures may drop slightly, settling at 39 degrees inland and around 35 degrees on the coast, where marine influence will soften the environment.
