The flames affecting the Marismas del Burro Nature Reserve in Gibraleón have been fully extinguished. Meanwhile, the fire that began last Thursday in the Carril del Cementerio area of Alosno is now under control, having impacted an initial area of approximately 1,000 hectares.
Firefighting crews remain on-site in Alosno to finalize liquidation efforts. The Gibraleón fire, which started on Monday, caused significant smoke to drift toward the city of Huelva earlier in the week.
“"Good news. At 10:15 PM, the #IFAlosno fire was brought under control, and at the same time, the #IFGibraleon fire was extinguished. We continue working in the province of Huelva."
Additionally, Infoca reported the extinction of another forest fire that broke out this Saturday in the Las Arosas area of Aznalcóllar (Sevilla). The operation involved heavy aerial support, including a helicopter and two ground-loading aircraft, alongside ground firefighting teams.
