During the ordinary plenary session held this morning, the Ayamonte City Council conducted the draw for the General Elections scheduled for November 29, 2026. Subsequently, the ratification of the agreement to extend the collaboration for co-financing municipal Women's Information Centers received unanimous approval, as did prior public consultations for ordinances regulating social needs aid and telecommunications installations.
Motions presented by the municipal groups Ahora Independientes, concerning the cleaning and improvement of the area around the Municipal Funeral Home, and by the Socialist Municipal Group, regarding the study and reuse of artificial turf removed from the «Ciudad de Ayamonte» Stadium, also received unanimous support from the council.
With favorable votes from the Popular Municipal Group and Ahora Independientes, and the abstention of the Socialist Municipal Group, the initiation of the contracting process for the Home Help Service, in its dependency and free competition modalities, was approved.
Conversely, a motion by the Socialist Municipal Group to promote protected public housing and implement local measures against the housing emergency did not pass, receiving support only from the socialists and opposition from Ahora Independientes and the Popular Party.
