The lead official, Carmen Álvarez, conducted a technical visit to assess the completed work in the Jesús Nazareno neighborhood plaza. These initiatives, part of an initial phase funded by the Program for the Promotion of Agricultural Employment, involved refurbishing the rubber flooring of the children's playground and upgrading the sanitation system on Duque Don Alonso street.
The project also included the installation of a biosaludable park, expanding leisure and exercise options for residents. Concurrently, improvements to sidewalks have been made in the San Lucas neighborhood, with further interventions planned for nearby areas such as the Barriada de los Maestros.
Looking ahead to a second phase, the City Council intends to propose projects aimed at enhancing paving, sanitation, and accessibility on streets like Periodista Galerín, the Faustino Míguez area, and adjacent streets leading to the plaza Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles, near the parish church in El Palmar.
Álvarez emphasized that these completed and planned actions aim for the comprehensive improvement of the urban environment across the neighborhoods of Jesús Nazareno, San Lucas, and Los Maestros, thereby finalizing a renovation plan for the entire district.
