Starting next Monday, September 28, Costa Noroeste Televisión will begin implementing accessibility measures for the deaf community. This initiative, resulting from an institutional agreement, will allow municipal plenary sessions to feature live interpreters, facilitating access to local political news.
The schedule of accessible broadcasts will expand on October 3 to include the weekly news program Siete Días. Additionally, to mark the International Day of Sign Language Interpreters on September 30, the station will air a special news segment adapted to ensure the full inclusion of this community.
This project is part of a broader municipal strategy to remove communication barriers in institutional, social, and cultural spheres. The service also includes interpreter support for administrative procedures, addressing a long-standing request from the community.
