This popular race, part of the III Popular Races Circuit of Rota, invites running enthusiasts and the general public to participate or support the runners. The organization highlights the festive and inclusive nature of the event, which caters to participants from the youngest to those over 70 years old, divided into seven categories.
The race course will maintain the same circuit as the previous edition, with no modifications. Athletes will complete two laps of an urban route totaling 8,495 meters. Both the start and finish lines will be located on San Fernando Avenue.
To ensure the well-being of participants, refreshment stations will be set up at kilometers 4.6 and at the post-finish area. Additionally, toilet and shower services will be available at the La Costilla promenade. The maximum time allowed to complete the race is one hour and ten minutes, and participation will be limited to 600 runners.
“"This edition will have a special character, dedicating it to the sky as a personal gesture from the president himself and also in memory of athletes who are no longer with us."
The top three male and female finishers in each category will receive trophies, and all participants will be given a technical t-shirt. The San Juan Race is organized by the Rabita Ruta Association, with the commitment of the Rota City Council in promoting sports and supporting local entities.
