This long-awaited new facility will serve not only Sanlúcar but also the neighboring municipalities of Chipiona and Trebujena, thereby optimizing resources and response times for emergencies in the region.
The contract includes the development of the preliminary design, basic and execution project, as well as the site supervision of the works. Interested companies have until June 22 to submit their bids. The deadline for drafting the technical documents will be four months after the contract is formalized.
The future station will be built on a municipal plot of over 3,800 square meters in the Las Palmeras area, with direct access to the Chipiona road. This location has been chosen to facilitate departures and improve service operability.
The total planned investment for this infrastructure amounts to approximately four million euros. The new facility will replace the current installations, aiming to enhance both operational efficiency and the working conditions of the staff.
The mayor of Sanlúcar, Carmen Álvarez, highlighted the importance of this step, noting that it addresses a long-standing demand from the fire department and citizen groups. The goal is to have modern facilities that improve safety and reduce intervention times.
The project tender is a crucial preliminary step before commencing construction. Following the contract award and the drafting of technical documents, the tender for the construction itself will be processed. This public tender marks a key administrative phase after years of demands.
