Emergency services in the province of Cádiz had a busy afternoon this Friday, with several road incidents resulting in injured individuals. The most notable occurred in Trebujena, at kilometer 42 of the A-473, where a truck and an agricultural tractor were involved in a collision.
Firefighters from the Sanlúcar and Jerez stations, part of the Provincial Fire Consortium, responded to the scene. Upon their arrival, the tractor driver was already out of the vehicle and, apparently, without serious injuries. However, the truck had overturned on its side, trapping its driver who complained of arm pain.
With the assistance of medical services to stabilize the injured person, firefighters collaborated in his extraction using a spinal board. Subsequently, the driver was transported by ambulance to the Jerez hospital for medical attention.
In addition to this event, two other significant accidents were reported the same afternoon. One took place on the A-7, at kilometer 1116 heading towards Málaga. In this incident, a hybrid car overturned upside down after colliding with a truck, leading to the evacuation of several people to the hospital. Firefighters from Algeciras intervened to secure the vehicle, which was still running and posed a fire risk, cordoning off the area and disconnecting the engine before a tow truck removed it.
The third incident occurred on the A-381, kilometer 83, in the direction of Algeciras, where a single vehicle veered off the road. The occupant was attended to by medical services, with the intervention of firefighters from the Los Barrios station.
