This operation, now in its 21st edition, has been designed to cope with the increasing number of attendees at the event. The consolidation of Saturday's sprint race has led to the reinforcement of resources being extended throughout the entire weekend, not just on the main race day.
The plan involves the participation of various entities such as the Andalusian Emergency Agency (EMA), 112, Civil Protection, the Cádiz Provincial Fire Consortium, Guardia Civil, National Police, Local Police, General Directorate of Traffic, Red Cross, and health services.
Among the technological innovations, 16 smart WiFi access points will be installed for capacity control using the COA tool, along with a dozen video coordination cameras, four of them with satellite connection. The Andalusian Emergency Group (GREA) has updated the circuit's operational mapping with drone orthophotographs and has reorganized parking area B, establishing a 100 by 100-meter grid in parking areas B and C to facilitate location in case of emergency. All this information will be available on a cartographic viewer accessible via web and mobile application for intervening teams.
The health sector will involve over 500 professionals mobilized in the province, coordinated by the 061 Health Emergency Center. The circuit will have a mobile ICU, a Logistics Support Vehicle capable of assisting up to 50 patients, and a permanent health coordination post. The air ambulance based at Jerez University Hospital will also be operational. Jerez Hospital will activate a contingency plan with reinforcements in Emergency, ICU, Traumatology, Surgery, and Anesthesia, in addition to reserving operating rooms and beds. Primary care will be strengthened in Jerez and nearby municipalities such as Sanlúcar, Rota, Chipiona, Jédula, and Trebujena, as well as in the Bay of Cádiz, especially in El Puerto de Santa María.
The Jerez City Council will activate its Local Territorial Emergency Plan from Wednesday, April 22, until Sunday, April 26, integrating it into the regional plan. The city will have 116 surveillance cameras and 100% of the Local Police force activated. Regarding mobility, urban bus services will operate as shuttles, and areas for motorhomes and dissuasive parking will be enabled, in addition to ten motorcycle parking zones in the city center. The plan also includes food safety inspections, environmental health actions, and surveillance for fire prevention with ground and air resources from the INFOCA device.
