Officers from the National Police have carried out an operation in Trebujena that culminated in the dismantling of an indoor marijuana plantation. The intervention took place in the basement of an industrial warehouse, where 2,249 cannabis plants were discovered.
The facility was equipped with advanced infrastructure for cultivation, including four industrial motors, 23 split air conditioning units, and a large amount of specialized equipment. Access to the grow room was via an industrial forklift, highlighting the sophistication of the operation.
During the operation, one person was arrested, identified as the alleged person responsible for the cultivation. This individual has been charged with a crime against public health and electricity fraud, and has been remanded in provisional prison.
This action is part of the ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies to combat marijuana plantations in the province. Recently, the National Police conducted two other interventions in Sanlúcar, where three people were arrested and nearly a thousand plants were seized, also facing accusations of electricity fraud.
