The incident took place around 2:30 PM at kilometer 4.9 of the aforementioned road, in the vicinity of the El Puerto de Santa María penitentiary centers.
Firefighters from the Provincial Firefighters Consortium of Cádiz responded to the scene to extract the two occupants of one of the vehicles, who were trapped. The driver of the other involved car was unharmed.
Firefighters used spinal immobilization equipment to transfer the injured to the ambulance stretcher, who were then taken to a hospital.
National Police officers, Civil Guard, health services, and road maintenance personnel also participated in the operation.
