Mobility has become a key challenge for many coastal towns, especially during the summer when visitor numbers increase traffic and complicate internal travel. In response, more and more councils are opting for public transport alternatives to reduce reliance on private vehicles.
In this context, Chipiona is preparing to launch its new urban bus service. Mayor Luis Mario Aparcero has confirmed that the initial route tests with one of the service vehicles have already been conducted. These trials have aimed to verify the itinerary's viability, review the stops, and ensure safe and efficient operation.
The next phase of the project involves installing new signage at strategic points along the route. Once this stage is complete, the service will be ready to commence its official operations, addressing a long-standing demand from citizens.

The announcement has garnered a positive response on social media, with resident comments reflecting satisfaction with the initiative. One of the most notable reactions celebrates the measure as a solution to overcome parking difficulties, particularly in beach areas during peak season.
