The arrest took place within the framework of a reinforced security operation, activated due to level 4 of the Anti-Terrorist Plan. Officers were conducting a vehicle checkpoint on a street in Rota when they noticed unusually nervous behavior from the driver of a car.
This suspicious attitude led to a more detailed inspection of the vehicle. Inside, police officers discovered 200 grams of hashish, several boxes of Kamagra – a drug unauthorized in Spain and considered potentially dangerous to health – as well as fragmented money and various electronic devices. These findings suggest a possible illicit distribution activity.
The swift action of the National Police culminated in the immediate arrest of the suspect. Transferred to police facilities, the individual was subsequently brought before a judge as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health.
