The meeting included the virtual participation of the Government's sub-delegate in Cádiz, Blanca Flores, and representatives from the Royal Society of Horse Racing of Sanlúcar, as well as various security and emergency bodies: National Police, Civil Guard, Regional Police, Local Police, Civil Protection, Firefighters, Red Cross, rescue, lifeguard, and emergency medical services. Municipal departments involved and the public cleaning company Emulisan were also present.
During the meeting, action plans, emergency access, crowd control, health, and road safety measures were reviewed. An increased security presence was agreed upon for both the race venue and high-traffic areas. Coordination will be managed from the Municipal Emergency Center (Cecop), located next to the La Calzada fountain.
The City Council will provide essential infrastructure and services in coordination with the Racing Society. This event, declared of International Tourist Interest, attracts thousands of people to Sanlúcar's beaches annually, making proactive planning crucial for ensuring safety.
The mayor thanked all those involved in organizing this event, which will take place on August 8, 9, and 10 and August 21, 22, and 23.
