The measure, highlighted by a representative of the Popular Party, is presented as an example of the regional executive's “useful policy,” aimed at resolving long-standing issues. Owners of these plots in Rota will finally be able to formalize the ownership of their land.
The problem originated in the mid-20th century with state agricultural colonization regulations, which led to rural land divisions whose ownership belonged to Andalusia. Although these properties were supposed to be awarded to their original beneficiaries, various regulatory and urban planning obstacles, along with discrepancies in measurements, prevented their formalization for decades.
The Ministry of Agriculture has worked for three years on a plan that will allow beneficiaries to finally prove ownership through a public deed. This progress has been welcomed by farmers, who have shown “patience” throughout this prolonged process.
“"This progress is a clear example of the useful policy of the Andalusian Government, which responds to problems that have been entrenched for years."
During the visit to Rota, the Popular Party representative also emphasized the Andalusian Government's commitment to the municipality, stating that investments totaling over 36 million euros have been made during the legislature. Among the actions mentioned are the tender for a new health center and the duplication of a key road.
Furthermore, reference was made to a new aid package from the Junta, totaling 50 million euros, aimed at self-employed individuals and small and medium-sized enterprises affected by recent storms. This program includes three lines of subsidies, with the main one of 38 million directed at self-employed workers and SMEs, another for the special agricultural system, and a third of two million for uncovered municipalities.
