The incident occurred on the afternoon of Friday, April 17, around 7:00 PM, at kilometer 42 of the A-473. The collision between a trailer and an agricultural tractor necessitated the immediate mobilization of rescue teams.
Personnel from the Cadiz Provincial Firefighters Consortium (CBPC) from the Sanlúcar de Barrameda and Jerez de la Frontera stations were dispatched to the scene. A total of eight firefighters and five vehicles participated in the operation to stabilize and extricate the truck driver, who was trapped.
“"Emergency teams worked in coordination with the medical services deployed to the area. While paramedics attended to the injured driver, firefighters carried out the necessary tasks to safely free him from the truck's cabin."
Once freed and stabilized, the driver was transported by ambulance to receive medical attention. As of now, no details have been released regarding his health condition or the exact circumstances that led to the collision.
This section of the A-473, which connects various towns in the region, is known for its agricultural and heavy transport traffic. The involvement of a tractor suggests that the accident might be related to typical agricultural activities in the area. Competent authorities will investigate the incident to clarify what happened.
