This event, named 'Connect to the Sea', will take place next Wednesday, April 29, at the Tourism Development Center. The initiative is part of a broader strategy that has established a collaborative employment table, where various local entities work together to identify needs and provide solutions in the labor field.
The intensive day on April 29 will include workshops focused on employment, training, aid, and entrepreneurship. Additionally, real experiences from the maritime-fishing sector, considered of great interest to attendees, will be presented. The program also features a networking space at the same venue, designed to facilitate exchange among professionals, entities, and participants.
“"The celebration of this forum has been possible thanks to the impulse of entities such as the Organization of Fishing Producers of Motril, the Social Institute of the Navy, the Maritime Captaincy, or the Local Fishing Action Group."
The day will conclude with a guided visit to the fishing port, offering participants a direct insight into the reality of the sector and its evolution. Registration for the event is free and can be done via a QR code available in promotional materials, through the link on the City Council's website, or at the North Zone, El Varadero, or Central Social Services Centers.
The Deputy Mayor for Social Action emphasized the importance of bringing the maritime-fishing sector closer to both citizens and professionals. She also noted that the forum is aimed at professionals and local agents who act as key information prescribers, but also, especially, at unemployed individuals and young people finishing their studies, to help guide their professional future towards sectors with real employment and growth opportunities.
