This project is the first phase of the Reactiva Barrios Plan, a strategy mobilizing a total budget of 7 million euros. The initiative includes 106 interventions aimed at modernizing infrastructure, public spaces, and essential facilities to improve the quality of life for residents.
Within this framework, a specific allocation of 1.7 million euros has been set aside for the comprehensive rehabilitation of 55 playgrounds located throughout the neighborhoods and districts of Motril. According to municipal sources, the goal is to ensure the city has safe and modern facilities in the coming months.
The Reactiva Barrios Plan is funded through a combination of own resources, from treasury surpluses, and the integration of other programs such as the Agricultural Employment Promotion Plan (PFEA). In addition to recreational areas, the plan includes improvements to road paving, sidewalk repairs, and various interventions in educational centers, such as the Los Álamos, Cardenal Belluga, and Pablo Picasso schools.
