The festivities will commence on Friday, August 7th, with the OFFICIAL OPENING SPEECH delivered by local singer and actress María Cobos Hidalgo, accompanied by pianist Gerard Pelegrín, at the Teatro Calderón at 8:00 PM. Following this, at 9:30 PM, the official lighting of the Fairground will take place at its main entrance. The day also includes a CHILDREN'S DAY with special discounts on fair attractions and a CHILDREN'S SING-ALONG SHOW at the Caseta Municipal at 10:00 PM.
Saturday, August 8th, will begin with the traditional GIANTS AND BIG-HEADS PARADE at 1:00 PM, starting from the Motril City Hall. The DAYTIME FAIR will feature live music in three central squares: SIEMPRE A COMPÁS at the Municipal Market (3:00 PM), LOS GIN TONIC at Plaza Gaspar Esteva (4:00 PM), and VAIVÉN at Plaza del Tranvía (5:00 PM). The evening will conclude with a free concert by NIL MOLINER at the Caseta Municipal at 10:30 PM.
On Sunday, August 9th, the fair will liven up with a SAMBA PARADE at 1:00 PM. The DAYTIME FAIR will host performances by LOS NIÑOS (3:00 PM), EL PATIO (4:00 PM), and BERTA ESCOBAR (5:00 PM). The concert by SALISTRE will close the day at the Caseta Municipal at 10:30 PM.
On Monday, August 10th, a FLAMENCO PARADE at 1:00 PM, featuring the Mercedes Martín School of Art and the Angustias Dance Academy, will tour the squares. The DAYTIME FAIR will present DANI MÁRQUEZ (3:00 PM), LOS TOCAYOS (4:00 PM), and CYNTIA (5:00 PM). The concert by PEPE Y VIZIO will take place at 10:30 PM at the Caseta Municipal.
On Tuesday, August 11th, the WATER FESTIVAL will be held in Plaza de España from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, and a special evening will be dedicated to the elderly. The concert by ANA DE CARO will be at 10:00 PM at the Caseta Municipal.
On August 12th, 13th, 14th, and 15th, the NOISE-FREE FAIR initiative will be implemented from 8:30 PM to 10:15 PM for individuals with different abilities. On Wednesday the 12th, there will also be a children's show, VIAJE A FANTASÍA, at 10:30 PM. Thursday the 13th will feature the AFTERNOON FAIR (TARDEO) starting at 5:00 PM, and a FLOWER AND FOOD OFFERING at 7:00 PM. The concert by MARTA SÁNCHEZ is scheduled for 10:30 PM.
On Friday, August 14th, the Caseta Municipal will host the free concert by 091 at 10:30 PM.
Saturday, August 15th, the main day of the festivities, will include events such as the XLVII TERRITORIAL SHOOTING COMPETITION STANDARD PISTOL 25 METERS in Carchuna's Galería Miramar (9:30 AM), the 85th PORT OF MOTRIL SWIMMING CROSSING (10:00 AM), and the MAIN INSTITUTIONAL MASS at 12:00 PM, presided over by Mons. D. José María Gil Tamayo. The day will conclude with the PROCESSION OF PRAISE (8:00 PM) and a GRAND PYROMUSICAL FIREWORK DISPLAY on Avda. Costa Tropical (11:30 PM).
The mayor of Motril, Luisa García Chamorro, expressed her pride in the fair's regained splendor and invited citizens to enjoy these festivities with joy, under the protection of the Virgen de la Cabeza.
