The Almuñécar council will bring a motion to the next plenary session to request the Spanish Government withdraw the amendment to the Coastal Regulations. This measure, according to the Popular Party of Almuñécar, goes against job creation and wealth, directly affecting traditional establishments such as beach bars.

The Popular Party of Almuñécar has defended the economic and social importance of the hospitality sector linked to Andalusian beaches. Furthermore, it has announced that the City Council will inform the Association of Beach Bars of the Costa Tropical and beach concessionaires about the scope of this measure.
The reaction from the Almuñécar City Council follows that of the Junta de Andalucía, which has also demanded the central government immediately withdraw the draft of the new Coastal Regulations. The Junta believes the proposal infringes on regional competencies and creates legal uncertainty for economic activities linked to the coast, jeopardizing investments, employment, and the stability of numerous concessions along the Andalusian coastline.
