A man of approximately 70 years of age has sustained injuries of varying severity after his van veered off the road he was traveling on, for reasons that are currently under investigation. The incident took place this Saturday, shortly before 4 PM, within the municipal area of Albondón.
Firefighters from the Provincial Council had to intervene to extricate the driver, given the difficulty in removing him from the vehicle. According to sources from the coordination center of 112 Andalucía Emergency services, the alert was received around 3:43 PM, reporting that a vehicle had gone off the road on the A-345, near the Cortijo Los Martos, and had fallen down a slight embankment.
Emergency services, including the Guardia Civil, Firefighters from the Provincial Consortium, medical personnel, and a helicopter, were dispatched to the scene. Once freed, the man was transported by ambulance to a point on the road where he was subsequently evacuated by air to a provincial hospital.
