The incident occurred around 1:00 PM at kilometer 1,068. The fire, which originated in the heavy vehicle, spread rapidly to the surrounding vegetation, creating a thick column of smoke visible from various locations in the area.
To combat the fire, the 112 Emergency Service coordinated an operation involving both ground and aerial resources. Personnel from the Provincial Fire Consortium, Civil Guard officers, and Plan Infoca teams are currently working to secure the perimeter of the fire.
The incident has caused significant traffic disruptions, with delays reaching approximately 3.5 kilometers. Although the road was initially completely closed, the left lane has since been reopened, while the right lane remains closed to facilitate emergency operations and ensure safety.
