The municipality of Torremolinos topped hotel overnight stays in Andalusia in June, recording a total of 572,675, surpassing Seville, which registered 537,669. The town welcomed 121,674 travelers, an 11.8% increase compared to the same month last year.
The growth in national tourism has been a key factor, with a 28.2% increase in June, reaching 38,622 Spanish visitors. This segment represents the largest market share for Torremolinos.
The average stay in June was 4.71 days, with a hotel occupancy rate of 79.39%. Employment in the hotel sector also saw an increase, reaching 3,737 people, 132 more than in June 2025.
In the first half of the year, Torremolinos recorded 554,432 travelers (6.7% more than in 2025), with a notable 26.2% growth in national tourism. Overall overnight stays increased by 3.2%, with a significant 22.7% rise in overnight stays by Spanish tourists.
The Association of Entrepreneurs of the Costa del Sol (AEHCOS) forecasts hotel occupancy around 95% for July and August in Torremolinos, positioning it as the provincial leader. An occupancy of 93.7% is estimated for July and 95.8% for August, exceeding the provincial average.
