The establishment of this committee formally initiates a process designed to ensure effective equality among municipal staff. The primary goal is to move towards a more equitable management committed to the principles of equality.
“"We are not talking about a mere formality, but a tool to continue advancing towards a fairer, more accessible, and more committed administration regarding real equality between women and men."
This new plan, expected to take between four and five months to develop, will address fundamental aspects such as professional promotion, training, remuneration, work-life balance, co-responsibility, harassment prevention, and the improvement of the work environment. The aim is for it to be a “useful, realistic, and applicable” tool.
The plan's development process will be carried out through the General Negotiation Table and the Equality Plan Negotiating Commission, with the support of specialized technicians. It will include a diagnosis of the current situation, the definition of objectives and specific measures, an implementation schedule, monitoring indicators, and an evaluation system.
The initiative, promoted by the Delegation of Equality in collaboration with the Personnel department, will have a transversal approach, involving other municipal areas such as Finance, Intervention, Treasury, and Procurement. This plan will update the framework established by the First Equality Plan, approved in 2020, adapting it to new needs and reinforcing the municipal commitment to internal equality.
