The burger competition, which was highly successful last year, will gather 17 establishments, including Dak Burger as the sole local representative. The event, presented with a renewed theme of American football under the name ‘The big game’, will also introduce a section dedicated to viral cheesecakes.
For two weeks, attendees can explore the various ‘food trucks’ set up at the venue. Restaurants will compete for the best burger, decided by public vote, aiming to showcase burgers as more than just fast food, using premium quality meats and surprising combinations. The ‘The Champions Cheesecake’ area will feature five bakers presenting innovative recipes.
Operating hours are from 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM, Monday to Thursday, and from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM, Friday to Sunday. Admission to the event is free.
“"This would represent an average of 10,500 daily attendees, and it's not only a very important figure from the perspective of public impact but also an organizational, planning, and security challenge for the Mijas City Council, for which we are ready."
The event is expected to surpass last year's attendance of 187,000, reaching 200,000 visitors. Mayor Ana Mata highlighted the event's impact, anticipating the creation of around 60 direct jobs, with a focus on local hiring, in addition to the indirect employment generated within the municipality and its surroundings.
Ana Mata concluded by inviting residents to participate in this event that positions Mijas as a key destination for street food enthusiasts.
